About the role

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a Procurement Agent 3 to provide in‑depth research and analytical support for a less‑complex procurement category. Working under broad supervision, the incumbent will develop and execute strategies that maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, communicate, and implement procurement strategy for assigned category(s).
• Set sourcing strategy based on procurement objectives, customer needs, market dynamics, and technological changes.
• Compile and analyze spend data, validate addressable spend, and benchmark against market to identify target savings.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage category and vendor performance, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Required profile

• Ability to work under broad supervision and deliver analytical insights.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in procurement or category management preferred.
