Process Engineer

About the role

Kyocera-AVX is hiring a Process Engineer in Fountain Inn. The engineer designs new and optimizes existing industrial processes that turn raw materials into finished products efficiently and safely, monitors and maintains equipment, troubleshoots production issues and ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role also involves gathering, analyzing and reporting data on production, efficiency and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Plan project details, including methods and scope of work, under the guidance of senior personnel.
• Coordinate design and development of projects so they meet specifications.
• Prepare materials for training machine operators and write training manuals, operating procedures and process instructions.
• Act as liaison with equipment manufacturers for process and machinery improvements.
• Run tests, interpret results and prepare reports on project outcomes.
• Ensure manufacturing procedures follow safety policies, quality regulations and standards while keeping costs optimal.
• Analyze production problems through tests and experiments and solve them with other departments.
• Support technicians and production staff and troubleshoot machinery with a qualified technician.
• Create and manage project plans for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze the manufacturing process capabilities of new products.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical or Material Science Engineering strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience or education in Chemical and/or Material Science Engineering.
