Dicing Operator

About the role

KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC is hiring a Dicing Operator in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. The operator runs the barker dicing machine, performs product inspection and quality control, and completes the required documentation. The position is Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quick visual inspections and operate the barker dicing machine.
• Unload blocks and blow out or clean them.
• Maintain detailed records and generate inspection reports.
• Carry out basic testing and quality checks; document non-conforming or rejected blocks at the end of each lot or shift.
• Fill out the Scrap tracker and the Router Form.
• Dice blocks accurately, using block alignment and witness marks, and use the microscope with a toolmaker gauge.
• Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot problems, communicating issues with Equipment Support.

Required profile

• High school diploma, AS degree or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year of experience performing inspections and quality control.

Required skills

• Inspection and quality control ability.
• Use of a microscope.
• Simple data entry and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Basic arithmetic, including negative numbers, decimals and fractions.
• Teamwork in a close-quarters, team-oriented environment.
