About the role
The PRN RN will work nights on the 23‑bed Neuro Medical Telemetry Unit at Mercy Hospital, providing direct nursing care to patients with neurological needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge needs.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification.
- Two years of recent related nursing experience (or less for internal candidates after orientation).
Required skills
- IV therapy
- Nasogastric tube (NGT) placement
- Cardiac drip management
- Stroke care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
