About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking experienced PRN Registered Nurses to join the 8100 Family Practice Unit at Akron General Medical Center. This 29‑bed Neuro/Cardiac Telemetry unit provides high‑acuity care for patients with strokes, sepsis, cardiac monitoring, and other complex conditions.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care, monitor and record patient conditions, and communicate changes to the care team.
Administer physician and nursing orders, including IV push, cardiac drip medications, and tracheostomy care.
Assess discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Two years of recent related nursing experience for external applicants; internal candidates may be considered with approval.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
