PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist I

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to work at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. This position provides flexible, as‑needed shifts and involves both imaging and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Elute 99mTc generators, prepare radiopharmaceutical kits, and perform quality control using aseptic technique.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to in‑patients and out‑patients, ensuring correct patient identification and documentation.
• Perform nuclear imaging studies, acquire and transmit images via PACS, and process billing through RIS.
• Conduct venipuncture, maintain equipment calibration (dose calibrators, scintillation cameras), and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or graduation from an accredited allied‑health program.
• Current ARRT (R.T(N)) or CNMT certification in good standing, state licensure, and BLS certification.
• One year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred.

Required skills

• Radiopharmaceutical preparation and aseptic technique.
• Operation of dose calibrators, scintillation well counters, and gamma cameras.
• Venipuncture and patient education.
• Use of PACS and RIS for image management and billing.
