PRN MedSurg/Telemetry RN – Scott Regional

About the role

Exceptional care starts with exceptional people. This PRN RN position leads patient care on a MedSurg/Telemetry unit at Scott Regional, using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The role involves delegating, directing and assisting team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Communicate, delegate and manage nursing team resources as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data and evidence to promote change and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Adapt communication style to diverse patient populations.
• Participate in unit and department strategic goals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
