CT Technologist (PRN) – Scott Regional

About the role

The CT Technologist (PRN) at Scott Regional provides routine CT imaging while ensuring patient safety and compliance with radiation protocols. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and explain procedures to patients.
• Operate CT equipment independently, including IV placement, and ensure diagnostic quality images.
• Perform quality control, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance tasks.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, staff scheduling, and equipment upkeep.
• Maintain confidentiality and adapt communication to diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced CT certification required within two years of employment.
• Current unrestricted state license and registration with ARRT in radiography (R) or NMTCB.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Clinical CT experience preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of CT imaging equipment and radiology information systems.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data entry.
• Knowledge of CT procedures, technical terminology, and radiation safety.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and maintain flexibility in schedule.
