PRN CNA - Pavilion

About the role

Pavilion is hiring a part-time (PRN) Certified Nursing Assistant in Baxley, working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. CNAs assist with the daily care of patients, helping them with Activities of Daily Living and reporting changes in condition to their supervisor. The shift available is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Key responsibilities

• Take and record resident vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, as well as weight and height.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, adaptive equipment, bowel and bladder care, and ambulation.
• Empty urinary drainage bags, record amounts and report irregularities to the nurse.
• Change resident positions every 2 hours, check on residents who cannot call for help, and provide range of motion exercises.
• Distribute trays, feed residents, deliver snacks and supplements, and keep accurate intake and output records.
• Maintain cleanliness of units, bathrooms, linen closets and equipment, handle linens per infection control guidelines, and keep residents dry.
• Keep areas safe, clean instruments and equipment, complete charge and inventory slips, and monitor supplies daily.
• Take call rotations, assist in orienting new personnel, and perform other duties as requested.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Current CNA certification in Georgia or obtained within 4 months of graduation.
• BLS certification; must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Previous CNA experience in a long-term care facility preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing; additional languages preferred.
