PRN Behavioral Health Technician – Flexible Shifts

About the role

The Behavioral Health Technician supports participants enrolled in clinical trials that focus on mental health, CNS, or behavioral conditions. Working under the supervision of investigators and clinical research coordinators, you will help ensure participant safety, protocol compliance, and high‑quality data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor participant safety, behavior, and well‑being during study visits, including extended or overnight stays.
• Assist CRCs with visit flow, assessments, and participant management.
• Perform and document observational data such as mood, behavior, sleep patterns, and adverse events.
• Collect vital signs, manage inventory of participant belongings, and conduct routine check‑ins.
• Maintain accurate source documentation in compliance with GCP standards.
• Participate in de‑escalation and crisis response following site training.
• Collaborate with investigators, CRCs, and site leadership to keep the clinical environment organized and ready.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in psychology, behavioral health, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or behavioral‑health setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Familiarity with CNS studies, psychiatric assessments, or behavioral observation tools is highly preferred.
