Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) – Flexible Shifts

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for one‑on‑one private duty nursing across Western Washington. The role provides compassionate, skilled care to medically complex pediatric and adult patients in homes, adult family homes, or assisted living communities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one skilled nursing care in community‑based settings.
• Perform nursing assessments, implement individualized Plans of Care, and administer medications and treatments.
• Monitor patient status, document in electronic medical records, and report changes to the care team.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatments, and medication use.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and other nurses.

Required profile

• Current Washington State RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and excellent communication.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for multiple patient locations.
