Principal, Strategic Communications – Digital Focus

About the role

Precision is seeking a Principal to lead digital strategy within its Strategic Communications team, working from either New York or Washington, DC. The role blends client management, content creation, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑impact campaigns for corporate and advocacy clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple client initiatives from concept through execution, overseeing small work streams and ensuring timely delivery.
• Develop and manage content across email, social, grassroots advocacy, and CMS platforms, shaping strategy and guiding junior staff.
• Build platform‑specific digital strategies, identify emerging opportunities, and integrate research insights into best practices.
• Drive digital reporting for social, email, and web, analyze trends, and train junior team members on reporting methods.
• Collaborate with communications, data, creative, and paid‑media teams, providing clear updates and solutions in client meetings.

Required profile

• 4+ years of digital marketing experience with a proven record of leading effective digital programs.
• Deep understanding of digital, email, and social media ecosystems and a passion for continuous innovation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across marketing, PR, analytics, and technology functions.
• Creative, detail‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset.
