Pricing Strategy Analyst – Controls

About the role

The Pricing Strategy Analyst will analyze pricing and margin performance across the Controls Division’s portfolio of roughly 14,000 part numbers, providing data‑driven recommendations to meet profitability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Report on gross‑margin performance against divisional targets for the full part‑number portfolio.
• Establish pricing for new custom parts in partnership with engineering during product development.
• Maintain baseline list prices for catalog and distribution parts.
• Develop and recommend pricing strategies, competitive positioning, and margin‑improvement initiatives.
• Analyze market conditions, competitor pricing, customer buying patterns, and price sensitivity.
• Conduct detailed part‑level profitability and cost analyses.
• Manage pricing throughout the product lifecycle and forecast financial impact of pricing actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in pricing, margin, or financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing or industrial distribution.
• Advanced Excel and data‑modeling skills for building complex pricing models.
• Ability to translate quantitative findings into actionable pricing recommendations.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with Engineering, Sales, Finance, and leadership.
