Manager, Student Finance

About the role

The Manager, Student Finance leads the student finance and accounts receivable team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, service quality and compliance with federal and state aid regulations. This role supports students across multiple service modalities in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage a Student Finance team, ensuring integrity, accuracy and timeliness of service delivery.
• Develop staffing and budget plans, interview, hire and promote team members, and maintain appropriate coverage.
• Evaluate current processes, provide recommendations, and track performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Handle escalated student and academic partner concerns, communicating policies and procedures clearly.
• Prepare reports and special projects for accreditation and state approval processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior people‑management experience in a service‑oriented environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid rules, Title IV, and related regulations.
• Experience in budget preparation, financial modeling and accounting management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using financial aid software and other financial systems.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial aid policies and regulations.
