Financial Aid Specialist – Awarding & Packaging

About the role

Join Covista as a Financial Aid Specialist focused on awarding and packaging Title IV aid. You will support student success by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial aid processing.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced Title IV knowledge to award, verify, disburse, and process credit balances.
• Generate, analyze, and interpret reports to support finance operations and decision‑making.
• Identify trends, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend process improvements.
• Support system conversions, mentor team members, and maintain service level agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) and at least 2 years of experience in student accounts or financial aid.
• Strong customer service, communication, and professionalism.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment and multitask.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Office suite
• Data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of Title IV regulations and NSLDS system access
