Precision Cutting Operator

About the role

Join Barnhart’s custom fabrication team as a Precision Cutting Operator, turning engineering drawings into high‑quality components using advanced CNC equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work orders to develop machining and cutting programs.
• Program and operate CNC cutting equipment, load materials, set offsets, and adjust programs to meet quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment and fabrication processes, making adjustments to improve performance and accuracy.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine upkeep on CNC machines and related equipment.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams and supervisors to support production goals and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• CNC programming and machine operation.
• CAD/CAM software familiarity.
• Experience with plasma cutting, arc welding, or related fabrication equipment.
