About the role
Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Practice Manager I to lead daily operations of a multi‑specialty physician practice in Hazleton. The manager will supervise staff, ensure efficient patient flow, and support up to 10 providers in a moderate‑complexity office.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise physician practice operations, ensuring prompt and courteous patient treatment.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures in coordination with upper management.
- Manage personnel matters, including hiring, training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
- Address provider needs, escalating issues to managers or administrators as appropriate.
Required profile
- High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of teamwork and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience with office electronic calendaring and standard desktop tools.
Required skills
- Proficiency with office electronic calendaring software.
- Competence in word processing, email, presentation software, and spreadsheets.
