About the role

The Technical Faculty – Practical Nursing position at Southern Regional Technical College delivers industry‑relevant instruction to prepare students for successful nursing careers. You will develop curriculum, teach classroom and lab sessions, and support student progression toward licensure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, and lesson plans aligned with state board policies and accreditation standards.
• Deliver instruction using creative teaching methods and instructional technologies within scheduled class time.
• Evaluate student performance, document progress, and provide timely feedback.
• Coordinate and supervise experiential learning components, including practicums, simulations, and internships.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and report no‑shows as required.
• Request and manage instructional supplies, tools, and equipment, submitting budget requests when needed.
• Ensure compliance with program licensure, industry certification, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain accreditation, instructional, and administrative documentation.
• Communicate with students, staff, and faculty regarding program issues and student retention.
• Provide academic and career advising to students.

Required profile

• Current Practical Nursing (PN) certification or equivalent licensure.
• Experience delivering practical nursing instruction in a post‑secondary setting.
• Knowledge of state board policies, accreditation standards, and curriculum development.
• Ability to assess student competency and provide constructive feedback.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, faculty, and industry partners.
