PR & Media Relations Specialist

About the role

Carpe Diem, a company of 600+ people serving 400+ clients in the USA with lead generation, AI automations, SaaS growth and development, is hiring a PR & Media Relations Specialist for one of its US clients. The role is full-time and remote, and suits a proactive professional with hands-on experience in public relations and media outreach who can strengthen brand visibility and credibility through strategic publicity.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit and distribute professional press releases.
• Research online publications, magazines, newspapers and industry platforms for publicity opportunities.
• Pitch story ideas, guest articles and thought-leadership content to editors and publishers.
• Identify podcast opportunities and coordinate guest appearances for company representatives.
• Build relationships with journalists, editors and media contacts.
• Execute personalized media outreach campaigns.
• Track media placements, outreach activities and PR campaign performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or MBA, with 2-3 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Media Relations or Digital PR.
• Hands-on experience writing press releases and conducting media outreach.
• Excellent written and verbal English, organized under pressure, reliable, punctual and able to say yes on short notice.
• Able to stand for long stretches and carry event materials; reliable transportation and willingness to travel for events.

Required skills

• Understanding of media pitching, earned media and editorial placements.
• Strong research, communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Preferred: experience with international publications and podcast outreach and guest booking.
