Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Epidemiology & Environmental Health

About the role

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct independent and collaborative research at the intersection of epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, and child development, focusing on early environmental exposures and child outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute statistical analyses of longitudinal mother‑infant cohort data.
• Apply advanced biostatistical methods such as mixed‑effects models, mediation and survival analysis.
• Lead manuscript preparation and submission to peer‑reviewed journals.
• Contribute to grant proposals targeting environmental health and child development.
• Present findings at national and international conferences.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research methods and scientific writing.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD) in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Biostatistics, Child Development, Public Health or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise with large longitudinal or population‑level datasets.
• Experience with early childhood cohort or mother‑infant studies preferred.
• Track record of grant writing or external funding acquisition.

Required skills

• Advanced statistical analysis (mixed‑effects models, mediation analysis, survival analysis).
• Propensity score analysis and causal inference methods (directed acyclic graphs).
• Environmental exposure assessment (e.g., PFAS, air quality, nutritional biomarkers).
• Data governance and IRB protocol support.
