Postdoctoral Associate in Psychology (Neurobehavioral Research)

About the role

The University of Miami’s Department of Psychology seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate to lead data collection and analysis for neurobehavioral research on mindfulness training in high‑demand cohorts. The position lasts 24 months and reports to Dr. Amishi Jha.

Key responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and oversee longitudinal behavioral studies.
• Apply advanced statistical methods, including hierarchical linear modeling, to large‑scale datasets.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for grant‑funded projects.
• Manage IRB submissions, reporting, and compliance.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students on research activities.
• Disseminate findings through posters, oral presentations, and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams studying military and other high‑stress populations.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in cognitive neuroscience and a strong publication record.
• Experience with hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) is highly preferred.
