About the role
The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time Manager, Development Initiatives to coordinate and support fundraising projects. This role ensures smooth project execution, documentation, and stakeholder communication to advance the school’s philanthropic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities that support fundraising efforts for the Miller School of Medicine.
- Monitor project progress, identify shortfalls, and implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and status reports.
- Provide administrative and logistical support, including meeting arrangements and progress tracking.
- Communicate with senior offices (President’s, Dean’s), trustees, VIP prospects, donors, department chairs, faculty, and research staff.
- Assist donors with medical requests and navigate the University of Miami Health System.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures while solving emerging problems.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, development, or project coordination within a higher‑education or nonprofit environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior leadership.
