About the role

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time Manager, Development Initiatives to coordinate and support fundraising projects. This role ensures smooth project execution, documentation, and stakeholder communication to advance the school’s philanthropic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities that support fundraising efforts for the Miller School of Medicine.
• Monitor project progress, identify shortfalls, and implement corrective actions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and status reports.
• Provide administrative and logistical support, including meeting arrangements and progress tracking.
• Communicate with senior offices (President’s, Dean’s), trustees, VIP prospects, donors, department chairs, faculty, and research staff.
• Assist donors with medical requests and navigate the University of Miami Health System.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures while solving emerging problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising, development, or project coordination within a higher‑education or nonprofit environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior leadership.
