Post‑Doc Scientist – Sterility Assurance & Microbiology Support

About the role

Lilly is seeking a Post‑Doctoral Scientist to support the Parenteral Product Network within the Technical Services/Manufacturing Science organization. The role focuses on sterility assurance and applied pharmaceutical microbiology in both manufacturing and laboratory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to advance sterility assurance capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement and technical projects across the network.
• Maintain compliance with US and global regulations and GMP standards.
• Serve as SME for sterility assurance topics, mentor site SMEs, and disseminate knowledge.
• Benchmark industry trends, collaborate with PR&D on new technologies, and develop laboratory models for manufacturing solutions.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in microbiology, molecular biology and/or aseptic operations.
• Record of peer‑reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
