CTDP Undergraduate Clinical Development Intern

About the role

Lilly’s Clinical Talent Development Internship offers undergraduate science students a summer experience in the Clinical Design, Delivery and Analytics (CDDA) organization. Interns will work on real projects that support the planning and execution of clinical development programs, gaining exposure to the full drug development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with clinical trial planning and design, including investigator selection and oversight.
• Support patient recruitment, enrollment, and clinical diagnostic activities.
• Contribute to data analysis, data management, and statistical reporting.
• Participate in medical writing, documentation, and communication of trial results.
• Help manage clinical trial budgets, financial tracking, and supply logistics.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without sponsorship.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Experience or coursework in clinical trial planning, investigator selection, or patient recruitment.
• Familiarity with clinical diagnostics, laboratory science, or clinical statistics.
• Knowledge of data management, clinical systems, or medical writing.
• Exposure to AI tools such as generative AI platforms, automation tools, or AI‑assisted research/analytics.
