Post-Doctoral Scientist – Technical Services & Manufacturing Science

About the role

Lilly is seeking a Post‑Doctoral Scientist to provide technical and scientific support in a dynamic manufacturing environment, focusing on the development of commercial processes for biomolecules such as proteins, peptides, and oligonucleotides.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to advance process knowledge, optimization, and technical transfer.
• Develop laboratory‑scale models for synthesis and purification steps and support scale‑up activities with the pilot plant.
• Maintain compliance with US and global regulations and ensure reliability of manufacturing systems.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Chemistry or related field.
• Demonstrated experience with protein, peptide, or oligonucleotide chemistry and purification.
• Record of peer‑reviewed publications and conference presentations.

Required skills

• Protein, peptide and oligonucleotide chemistry and purification techniques.
• Design of statistically‑designed experiments and data analysis.
• Knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements and scale‑up processes.
