Portfolio Manager - Foot and Ankle

About the role

Stryker's Foot & Ankle Marketing team is looking for a Portfolio Manager in Mahwah, NJ, to turn customer, market, competitive, clinical and financial insights into actionable portfolio strategies. As an individual contributor, you lead the commercial perspective across new product development and product lifecycle management, partnering with cross-functional and international teams to evaluate opportunities, guide investment decisions and drive portfolio performance. The role is hybrid, with 2-4 days per week onsite, and involves about 30% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute portfolio strategies across new product development, commercialization, launches, lifecycle management and obsolescence.
• Analyze customer insights, competitive intelligence, market research and industry trends to identify unmet needs and build differentiated value propositions.
• Evaluate and prioritize portfolio opportunities by customer value, competitive positioning, strategic fit, technical feasibility, financial return, market access and adoption.
• Develop business cases, volume forecasts, pricing recommendations and investment proposals, including risks and uncertainties.
• Partner with Marketing, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and international teams to align customer needs with business objectives.
• Create and communicate strategic plans, annual marketing plans, launch plans, go-to-market strategies, product positioning and resource allocation.
• Integrate clinical, product-use and economic evidence into value propositions, evidence-generation priorities, publications and product messaging.
• Monitor portfolio and business performance using sales forecasts, market data, financial analysis and Power BI dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in marketing, product management, portfolio management, sales, R&D, finance or a related business function.
• Experience applying financial modeling, business case development, forecasting or financial analysis to support business or portfolio decisions.
• Experience in market segmentation, market analysis, global marketing or portfolio strategy.
• Experience working with or across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing or Operations.
• Preferred: 2+ years in medical devices, healthcare or a regulated industry; experience in orthopedics, surgical or implantable devices; experience with Voice of Customer, market research and competitive intelligence; experience supporting global product strategy.

What we offer

• Pay range of $107,200 - $178,600 USD annually (US20)
