Porter/Dishwasher – In‑School (No Weekends, No Nights)

About the role

Red Rabbit is seeking a reliable Porter/Dishwasher to work on‑site in a school kitchen environment. The role supports the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness and ensuring all equipment is ready for daily meal production.

Key responsibilities

• Clean countertops, cooking equipment, walk‑in refrigerators, floors, hand sinks, dishes and storage areas to exceed Department of Health standards.
• Remove trash, cardboard and compost promptly, keeping the kitchen free of debris.
• Set up the kitchen each day for meal production and assist with other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant, hotel, commissary or similar kitchen environment.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods and move throughout the kitchen.
• Reliable, team‑oriented and able to work calmly in a fast‑moving setting.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, safety and sanitation regulations.
