Placement Specialist, Business Insurance - Select

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Placement Specialist for its Business Insurance Select team in Greensboro. The team develops new client relationships and evaluates new business referrals to determine their viability. MMA provides business insurance, employee health and benefits, retirement and private client insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new client relationships by providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service.
• Evaluate new business referrals to determine if they are viable.
• Gather application information directly from clients.
• Obtain quotes from insurance markets and take proposals through to binding coverage.
• Work closely with the team, paying attention to detail and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Required profile

• NC Property & Casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years of relevant sales experience and/or Business Insurance (P&C) industry experience.
• Ability to consistently meet annual sales goals.
• High school diploma required.
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. permanently and without sponsorship now or in the future.
• A college diploma or equivalent work experience in insurance or financial services is a plus but not required.
