Physician (Hospitalist) – Fort Liberty, NC

About the role

We are seeking a board‑eligible or board‑certified Physician to join our Department of Medicine at Fort Liberty, NC as an inpatient Hospitalist. The role provides comprehensive internal‑medicine care to adult and geriatric patients in a 110‑bed regional medical center.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage, admitting, managing, and discharging patients on medical wards and step‑down units.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and invasive procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis.
• Collaborate with primary‑care providers, consultants, and specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise and educate medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers.
• Document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record and participate in medical‑staff activities.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
• Coverage under the Federal Tort Claims Act; no separate malpractice insurance required.
