Physical Therapist Assistant – West of I-77 Service Area

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Business Operations Center supports Home Care and Hospice operations across Greater Cleveland and Akron/Canton. This position provides Physical Therapy Assistant services to patients residing west of I‑77, delivering hands‑on therapeutic care in their homes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer patient‑centered Physical Therapy treatment using evidence‑based practice and skilled techniques under a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Observe, communicate, and document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Plan, organize, and implement individualized therapeutic programs with patients and families.
• Provide education on Physical Therapy topics to patients, caregivers, and community members.
• Act as a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students.
• Serve as a resource for volunteers and observers.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or certificate from an APTA‑accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Valid driver’s license with $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance for home care.
• Preferred: clinical experience and ability to meet heavy‑level physical demands.
