About the role

Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute is seeking Phlebotomy Technicians to join its team. Candidates will attend an onsite interview event at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and may be scheduled for variable shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform blood collection and venipuncture procedures, maintaining accurate log sheets.
  • Verify orders, label specimens, and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
  • Handle specimen processing tasks such as accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging.
  • Transport blood, other sample types, and laboratory supplies throughout the facility.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical proficiency with standard phlebotomy procedures and troubleshooting in a team environment.
  • Preferred: Formal Phlebotomy Certification, graduation from an accredited program with clinical rotation, and at least one year of phlebotomy experience.

Required skills

  • Venipuncture technique.
  • Specimen labeling and documentation.
  • Accessioning and centrifugation of samples.
  • Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to standard precautions.
