About the role
The Phlebotomy Technician joins the General Lab team at Medina Hospital, working evenings to collect blood and other specimens that support diagnosis and treatment. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate specimen handling, and collaboration with the laboratory staff.
Key responsibilities
- Perform blood collection procedures, following venipuncture protocols and maintaining log sheets.
- Verify orders, label specimens, and deliver them to the appropriate processing area.
- Process specimens, including accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging.
- Transport blood, other sample types, and lab supplies as needed.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Phlebotomy Technician experience with standard procedures.
- Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
