About the role

The Phlebotomist PRN supports laboratory functions and patient care across the River Parishes. This position performs phlebotomy procedures, processes specimens, and assists with departmental goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures and accession specimens.
  • Process, receive, and distribute laboratory specimens.
  • Perform specific test procedures and record results.
  • Support departmental objectives and resolve specimen‑related issues.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a phlebotomy course preferred.
  • Current state phlebotomy license or trainee license.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between facilities.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data entry.
  • Knowledge of venipuncture procedures.
  • Computer dexterity for retrieving patient information.
