Patient Access Supervisor – River Parish

About the role

The Patient Access Supervisor oversees patient flow and access functions for River Parish, ensuring minimal wait times and high‑quality customer service within Ochsner Health facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff performance, productivity, and schedules to meet departmental goals and patient volume.
• Monitor and adjust patient flow, performing audits and reporting key metrics to leadership.
• Facilitate conflict resolution, remove performance barriers, and ensure compliance with federal, state and accreditation standards.
• Interview, hire, and train staff while adapting communication to diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• High school diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in hospital, clinic, revenue‑cycle or customer‑service environments, or 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree.

• Proficient computer and data‑entry skills with Windows‑style applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
