About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a compassionate Phlebotomist to join the General Lab at Florida Weston Hospital. You will work day/evening rotations (4:00 am‑12:30 pm) in a PRN capacity, helping patients of all ages feel at ease while collecting blood and processing specimens.

Key responsibilities

Collect blood specimens, perform glucose tolerance tests and blood cultures across all age groups.
Process and prepare samples for laboratory testing, manage specimen tracking in the laboratory information system, and ship reference specimens.
Monitor test orders and requisitions to ensure compliance with outpatient laboratory testing protocols.

Required profile

High School Diploma or GED.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
Experience drawing blood from patients of all ages.

Required skills

Venipuncture and blood collection techniques.
Laboratory information system data entry.
Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to biohazard safety standards.
