Pharmacy Technician – Oncology

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician – Oncology works in the inpatient infusion pharmacy at Martin Health North, supporting sterile and non‑sterile compounding for oncology patients. The role includes medication preparation, inventory management, and collaboration with pharmacists and nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and label medications, performing both sterile and non‑sterile compounding throughout the shift.
• Deliver medications to designated storage locations accurately and timely.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and nursing unit inspections.
• Document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs and scheduled activities.
• Assist in training pharmacy caregivers and students.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Florida‑licensed Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA and active registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to perform algebraic calculations for extemporaneous compounds.
• Effective communication and emotional intelligence in a team environment.
