Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient PRN

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient, PRN supports medication distribution and pharmacy operations for Hillcrest Hospital and the Mentor campus, serving a diverse inpatient population across multiple specialty and critical care service lines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the Registered Pharmacist.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems and fill medication carts daily.
• Prepare orders, maintain inventory, and repackage bulk medications.
• Assist with medication preparation and delivery, automated carousel retrieval, IV room support, and sterile compounding (as trained).
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and on‑call assignments as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA upon hire.
• Active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
• Ability to update registration to Certified status within 6 months if initially hired as trainee or registered.
