Pharmacy Technician 1 (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 1 to join its pharmacy team in Coral Gables. This full‑time position supports pharmacists in medication dispensing and inventory management while ensuring compliance with university and pharmacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information, maintaining accurate patient records.
• Assist pharmacists with order filling, label preparation for unit doses and pre‑packaged pharmaceuticals.
• Receive and stock incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Refer provider calls and medication questions to the pharmacist.
• Stay current on pharmacy law, regulations, informatics, dispensing systems, and calculations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State of Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
