About the role
The Pharmacy Intern will work on the first floor of Marymount Hospital, supporting inpatient pharmacy operations and gaining hands‑on experience with psychiatric medications and patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Support carousel operations, triage phone calls and nursing requests, and pre‑pack medications.
- Manage inventory, perform cycle counts, and return stock.
- Participate in bedside and outpatient medication delivery programs.
- Assist with clinical activities such as patient education, medication histories, and medication list reconciliation.
- Review medication orders, recommend formulary alternatives, and provide drug information to staff and patients.
Required profile
- Enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy program meeting Ohio Intern License requirements (or equivalent foreign graduate license).
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before hire.
- Physical ability to stand, reach, stretch and sit for prolonged periods.
- Willingness to work every third weekend during the school year (alternating shifts) with optional additional hours.
