Pharmacy Aide – Statewide Emergency Placement (NY HELPS)

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Aide to support licensed pharmacists at Hutchings Psychiatric Center. The position is part of the NY HELPS emergency placement program and involves assisting with the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical orders in a clinical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Unpack, sort and count pharmaceutical supplies for storage and distribution.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and generate routine reports.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Either one year of experience assisting with prescription filling under a licensed pharmacist, a current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board credential, or a certificate/diploma from an accredited pharmacy technician program.
• Eligibility under the NY HELPS program or placement on the current Pharmacy Aide eligible list.
