Pharmacist – Midshift – $61.29/hr + Differential

About the role

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist works with a team to compound, dispense, and manage medications and IV supplies for a 2000‑employee hospital in Missouri.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and confirm orders in EPIC accurately and promptly.
• Answer medication‑related questions from staff, nursing, and physicians using EPIC and other resources.
• Review physician orders for accuracy, omissions, drug interactions, and duplicate therapy.
• Operate pharmacy automation and software, perform safety checks, and verify unit‑dose repackaging.
• Prepare compounded sterile products following USP 797 aseptic technique and maintain documentation.
• Verify narcotic counts, complete paperwork, and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in committees, precept pharmacy students, and assist in hiring pharmacists.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited college.
• At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience or internship preferred.
• Current Missouri pharmacist license or ability to obtain it within 90 days.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb and sustain mental concentration for variable operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Familiarity with Omni Server reporting tools.
• Experience using pharmacy automation and dispensing software.
• Barcode scanning and visual inspection for medication safety.
• Knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards.
• Competence in narcotic inventory management and documentation.
