Pharmacist

About the role

Meijer is hiring a pharmacist in Marysville who practices pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education. The pharmacist must be patient directed and clinically oriented, with a vision to take Meijer Pharmacy to the next level of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians, hold them accountable for results and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Resolve patient needs through listening and customer service.
• Act as agent of change and communicate effectively.
• Know Meijer policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Prioritize workload and organize work efficiently.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, run pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where allowed.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/community practice experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems.
• Understanding of state regulations where the pharmacy operates.
