Caregiver (CNA/HCA) – Monday‑Wednesday 8‑hour Day Shift

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Care Aides (HCA) to provide compassionate, hands‑on care for clients in homes, facilities, or adult family homes. The position is part‑time, Monday‑Wednesday, 7 am‑3 pm day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including ADL assistance, grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, take vital signs, record weights, and apply prescribed creams or ointments.
• Promote skin integrity by repositioning residents, changing incontinence supplies, and using moisturizers.
• Follow safety and infection‑control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CNA or HCA license for Washington State (or ability to complete on‑site training).
• Good standing with Washington DSHS Background Check System.
• Reliable transportation and, if providing client transport, a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Required skills

• Hands‑on patient care and ADL support.
• Basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting observations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb using proper body mechanics.
• Knowledge of infection‑control and safety procedures.
