Caregiver (CNA/HCA) – Monday to Wednesday Day Shift

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Care Aides (HCA) to provide hands‑on patient care during a Monday‑Wednesday day shift. The role involves working in‑home, facility, or adult family home settings, delivering personalized, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care, including ADLs such as grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, take vital signs, record weights, and apply prescribed creams or ointments.
• Promote skin integrity by repositioning residents, managing incontinence, and applying moisturizers.
• Follow individualized care plans, safety, and infection‑control procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• CNA or HCA license for Washington State (or ability to complete on‑site training).
• Good standing with Washington DSHS background check system.
• Reliable transportation and, if providing client transport, a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Required skills

• Ability to perform basic nursing tasks such as vital signs measurement.
• Knowledge of infection‑control practices and proper body mechanics.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb safely.
