Pharmacist I – Clinical Pharmacy Role in Tyler, TX

About the role

This full‑time position offers a comprehensive clinical pharmacy experience in a faith‑driven health system. You will join interdisciplinary rounds, participate in antimicrobial and opioid stewardship, and manage anticoagulation and pharmacokinetic dosing for hospitalized patients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medication orders according to physician requests and established protocols.
• Monitor drug therapy for interactions, allergies, contraindications, and appropriate dosing.
• Compound sterile and non‑sterile products, including chemotherapy agents and parenteral nutrition.
• Engage in antibiotic and opioid stewardship programs, manage drug shortages, and contribute to interdisciplinary patient‑care rounds.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Active pharmacy license in Texas (or obtain within 60 days of start).
• BLS or ACLS certification within 180 days of hire.
• PALS certification within 180 days for pediatric practice settings.
