Personal Trainer - NoMad

About the role

Equinox, a luxury health, wellness and hospitality group, is hiring a full-time Personal Trainer for its NoMad location in New York. The company is recognised as an industry leader in personal training, with an in-house education programme (the Equinox Fitness Training Institute) that pays trainers for their study time. The role combines client service, program design and business management.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active client base and manage an accurate schedule of appointments, meetings and open availability.
• Sell personal training programs to members and clients by phone, email and in person.
• Perform fitness assessments, guided workouts and other complimentary services, and coach personalized programs for in-person and virtual clients.
• Maintain knowledge of club services, programs and products, and keep the fitness floor organised and safe during shifts.
• Attend continuing education classes and required one-on-one or team meetings with management.

Required profile

• Current personal training certification, or willingness to obtain one through the certification reimbursement program.
• Eligibility for a higher tier and pay rate based on previous experience and education (a degree in the field).
• Current CPR/AED certification; certification opportunities are available for non-certified applicants.
• Ability to work in person during weekdays and weekends.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

• Earning potential of over $100K, with pay transparency of $40.50-$98.00 per session and $17.00 per hour for non-session work, plus incentive bonuses.
