Licensed Massage Therapist

About the role

Equinox, a luxury health, wellness and hospitality group, is looking for Licensed Massage Therapists in Washington, DC for part-time positions. The role suits therapists who enjoy a multimodal approach to manual therapy and who want to add movement science to their practice. The position is open to both part-time and full-time practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 25-, 50-, 80- and 110-minute deep tissue, sports, prenatal and Swedish massages in a professional, comfortable setting
• Analyze each client's current needs and create a programmatic treatment plan
• Clean the room after each treatment and at the end of each shift
• Stay compliant with state regulatory boards on intake forms, waivers and SOAP notes

Required profile

• Valid DC license or certification as a massage therapist
• Ability to generate new business and retain clients through treatment programs
• Availability evenings and weekends (required for part-time and full-time)
• In-depth understanding of anatomy and movement in relation to soft tissue manipulation
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, willingness to learn, positive energy, ethical conduct and computer literacy
• Legal right to work in the United States
