Personal Trainer - East 63rd Street

About the role

Equinox is hiring a full-time Personal Trainer for its East 63rd Street club in New York. You will work under the guidance of two managers to build a career focused on maximizing both your own performance and that of your clients, covering programming, education, business and financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active client base and manage an accurate schedule of appointments, meetings and open availability.
• Sell personal training programs to members and clients by phone, email and in person.
• Perform fitness assessments, guided workouts and other complimentary services, and coach personalized programs for in-person and virtual clients.
• Maintain knowledge of all club services, programs and products.
• Keep the fitness floor organized and safe during shifts and sessions.
• Attend continuing education classes and required one-on-one or team meetings with management.

Required profile

• Current Personal Training certification, or willingness to obtain one through the certification reimbursement program.
• Eligibility for a higher tier and pay rate based on previous experience and education (a degree in the field).
• Current CPR/AED certification; certification opportunities are available for non-certified applicants.
• Ability to work in person during weekdays and weekends.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
