Direct Support Professional

About the role

The Center for Family Support seeks compassionate individuals to help people with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives. As a Direct Support Professional you will provide person‑centered assistance, promote community involvement, and ensure safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Assist individuals in developing daily living skills and pursuing personal goals.
• Encourage participation in community activities that match each person’s interests.
• Support health needs, including medication administration, attending medical appointments, and emergency care when required.
• Promote self‑advocacy and respect the rights of the people you support.
• Maintain a safe environment by following each person’s service plan and supervision guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license is helpful but not mandatory.
• Some experience in healthcare or human services is a plus.
