Chef/Family Assistant

About the role

The family in New York seeks a warm, professional Chef/Family Assistant to join their household team. You will prepare meals, support a neurodivergent teenager, care for two large dogs, and handle a range of administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare healthy dinners 2‑3 times per week and assist with larger gatherings.
• Manage grocery shopping, pantry inventory, and meal planning for dietary restrictions.
• Support family scheduling, appointments, and occasional overnight travel assistance.
• Feed, walk, and coordinate veterinary care for two dogs, including medication administration.
• Handle household paperwork, travel logistics, vendor coordination, and vehicle maintenance.

Required profile

• Warm, cheerful presence with strong discretion and trustworthiness.
• Calm under pressure, highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to seasonal schedule changes.
• Excellent communicator and team player who can collaborate with household staff and vendors.

Required skills

• Professional cooking experience, including managing varied dietary preferences.
• Ability to sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) and maintain a smoke‑free environment.

What we offer

• Annual salary $120,000‑$140,000 based on experience.
